Washington – Branding Donald Trump a “dangerous demagogue,” USA Today on Thursday urged its readers not to vote for the Republican presidential candidate, but added that it was not endorsing his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton either.

The national newspaper said in an editorial that it had never taken sides in U.S. presidential elections in its 34-year history, but was abandoning the practice because the New York real estate developer was unfit for the presidency.

It went on to list and expand on eight reasons for its stance, including: “He is ill-equipped to be commander in chief,” “He traffics in prejudice,” and “He’s a serial liar.”

“Trump’s foreign policy pronouncements typically range from uninformed to incoherent,” the editorial said.

In an opinion piece on the USA Today website, Trump’s running mate Mike Pence wrote that the New York businessman was “thoughtful, compassionate and steady… I know he is ready to lead the United States as our next president and commander in chief.”

Trump and Clinton are locked in a close race for the Nov. 8 election. A majority of Americans say Clinton won their first presidential debate on Monday, according to a Reuters/Ipsos national tracking poll.

USA Today, published by Gannett Co Inc, said its editorial board was divided on Clinton, and some of the reservations about the former secretary of state centered on her “sense of entitlement, her lack of candor and her extreme carelessness in handling classified information.”

Urging voters to stay true to their convictions, USA Today said: “Whatever you do, however, resist the siren song of a dangerous demagogue. By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump.”

Populits and demagogues have never been good to the Jews. Don’t think that what happened in Germany couldn’t happen here.

Mindless, ignorant lemmings all of you…

I suppose all of the Republicans, foreign leaders, the Arizona Republic (which for the first time in its long, over 120 year history, endorsed a Democrat for President) and others who have described Trump as a dangerous demagogue are “really, really” part of a Liberal conspiracy and are on the Clinton payroll. Does anyone read USA Today ?. I don’t think so. With the completion for news from internet and other worthy newspapers it does make sense for USA Today to try to get it’s circulation up by attacking Trump.
The problem is that this work only for a short time then they have to sell their paper.

In 1956, famed sociologist C. Wright Mills published “The Power Elite,” a landmark work which “called attention to the interwoven interests of the leaders of the military, corporate, and political elements of society” and how they operate to maintain power and wealth at the expense of ordinary citizens. President Eisenhower picked up on this theme in his farewell address when he warned of the dangers of the military-industrial complex, and the revolving door between big business, wall street, the military, the Congress and yes, even the mainstream media. And both Democrat and Republican elites have always been joined at the hip to maintain their privileged positions.

Now comes Donald Trump, the greatest threat to the “power elite” in the last half-century and, scared out of their minds, they have united in a rabid, no-holds-barred assault against Trump, in order to destroy the threat to them that he represents.

There is no doubt that Trump is an egomaniacal, crass buffoon. But at this stage of the game, SO WHAT! Hillary Clinton is the candidate of the corrupt, power hungry, greedy, elitist establishment. Alas, Trump is all that we’ve got to stop her and her monstrous machine.
