    New York – Gov. George E. Pataki’s doctors said for the first time, that his ruptured appendix, peritonitis and abdominal abscesses and fever, had left him with two potentially life-threatening complications, and they revealed in a news conference, that it has left him more seriously ill than his staff and doctors previously acknowledged.

    They would not predict when he might be able to leave the hospital, but said that it could be as long as three more weeks.

    The Governor has moved his office into the hospital.
