New York – President-elect Donald Trump has broken with protocol by leaving his Trump Tower residence without taking along his press contingent.

The Trump transition team had informed reporters and photographers at Trump Tower that there would be no movement by the president-elect for the rest of the day and evening. Then, less than two hours later, a presidential-style motorcade left the building unannounced.
That sent the press corps scrambling to find out if Trump was indeed in the motorcade and where it was heading.
It turns out that Trump was having dinner at the 21 Club. Reporters and photographers caught up with him at the midtown Manhattan restaurant but were not been allowed inside.
His motorcade left the area shortly after 9: 30 p.m. Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, were spotted entering a Cadillac SUV at the back of motorcade.
A spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, confirms that Trump was having dinner with his family and she asked that the press respect that.

To #3 and #5 - I knew that there would be comments such as yours; just because Ivanka and Jared went to the 21 club with their Father and Father-in-law, it doesn’t mean that they ATE there; they went there out of respect to him. There is no law that says that you can’t go to such places, pertaining to business, as long as you don’t eat there. There are many Jewish businessmen who have to go with their clients to such places, who don’t eat at such places.
Firstly who says ivanka ate? I frequent trief restaurants all the time yet don’t eat there.
Secondly , who says they did not order in kosher food
And to #1 no one says trump complained he simply outfoxed the media bec he knows it’s the reality
I have been at meetings at the 21 Club many times and it is quite easy to have them bring in kosher meals.
Maybe we should set up #3 and #5 with a press contingent and report every time they take a look at something they should not or maybe listen in for any Nivel Peh or Lashon Hora. Speaking of which, wouldn’t those posts be Lashon Hora about the Kuhners?
It is going to be 4 years of Trumpness and hopefully we don’t need to get on the case of Trump’s daughter every time we do not approve of something she does.
Besides, at this point there is no place in the world she would not be able to get kosher food by snapping her fingers.

The 21 Club and many other top Manhattan restaurants will provide, upon request, glatt kosher meals (with chassideshe hashgacha of course) and also provide “new” utensils etc. Obviously, there is a charge for such special requests but I doubt that is an issue for the Kushners. Don’t assume they eat treifus every time they go out to a restaurant with the Donald. There also is no inyan of ma’aris ayin since everyone knows such ehrliche yidden would only eat kosher food.
