That’s according to a person familiar with the decision, which is expected to be announced Tuesday morning.
Price has been a leading critic of President Barack Obama’s signature health care law. Trump has vowed to repeal the measure, though he has been unclear about exactly what he hopes to replace it with.
The person familiar with the decision insisted on anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss the nomination publicly ahead of Tuesday’s announcement.
Trump adviser Newt Gingrich has tweeted his approval, calling Price “the right leader to help Congress replace Obamacare.”
Good this should be one of the first orders.
And yes unfortunately the poor will have to suffer. There is no magic bullet. We can’t continue to raise costs on 175 million middle class americans to pay for 20 million uninsured.
Just to debunk any myth out there I will outline what’s already known and common sense. America has the best top notch health care system in the world. There is a reason foreigners fly in to the USA for doctors. Yes we pay the most for health care . But look at the successful results. And look at the lines over here and the lines in Canada. We cannot allow universal health care in our country. It will wreck our health care. And Obama care has already done some harm. More and more doctors are declining cheap insurance with some not taking any. I know this for a fact. So maybe we are the only advanced country without universal coverage, but our coverage kicks any other health care system by far.
We must repeal this disastrous bill and go back to pre Obama care days. We can then place small bandages to somehow protect the poor (like co-pays). But no it won’t and can’t be perfect. That’s life where the rich get more. And I am not rich.
