An 81-year-old woman was clinging to life after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Borough Park yesterday, authorities said.
Police said Chava Konigsberg was walking at 10th Avenue and 44th Street about 10:30 a.m. when she was hit by a 2004 Nissan Ultima.
The driver, Jonathan Reyes, 18, fled the scene but returned later and turned himself in, cops said. He told them he panicked after the accident.
Konigsberg, who lives on 44th Street, was rushed to Lutheran Hospital with severe head injuries.
Reyes was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.
