According to reports in The Daily News, Judge Noach Dear, who serves as a civil court justice in the Brooklyn Supreme Court, was walking to his car near Maimonides Hospital at the northeast corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway and 49th Street when the incident occurred at approximately 8 AM.

After Dear ignored a verbal assault from an unidentified man, the man continued the barrage shouting “You (obscenity) Jew, don’t you have a mouth?”

Police said that as Dear got into his vehicle and called 911, the suspect took pictures of his car before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described by police as a white man in his mid fifties, 5’9 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds and dressed in grey sweats.

Dear reportedly told police that he believes that he was not personally targeted in the attack and that the suspect likely thought he was a member of the hospital’s medical team.

The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force.

Dear did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the incident.

This happens all the time unfortunately. You probably can’t find a Jew who wears a yarmulke that at one time or another was cursed out.
