O’Reilly said that his jest about her hair was dumb. “I apologize,” he said in a statement.

He had made his statement during an appearance earlier on “Fox & Friends,” after a clip was shown of the Democratic representative speaking in the House of Representatives. O’Reilly, as he watched, appeared to mouth the words “right on” and give a clenched-fist salute.

After the clip, he said, “I didn’t hear a word she said. I was looking at the James Brown wig.” Fox’s Ainsley Earhardt defended Waters, saying O’Reilly shouldn’t go after a woman’s looks.

O’Reilly also said that Waters, who is black, should have “her own sitcom.”

In his apology, O’Reilly said that “as I have said many times, I respect Congresswoman Maxine Waters for being sincere in her beliefs.”

It is time that Rupert Murdoch terminates O’Reilly, when his Fox contract expires this summer. He has cost Fox millions to settle two sexual harassment lawsuits. In addition, his own daughter testified that he was physically abusive against her Mother, when she witnessed him drag her Mother by her neck/hair, down a flight of stairs. O’Reilly tried to pressure the Suffolk County PD, to dismiss a Suffolk County Detective, who was dating, and eventually married his ex-wife. He has bullied people on the air, and mocked Jews, who had legitimate complaints of job discrimination. Without hearing the facts, he stated “I doubt if that happened”. He did the same thing when several US soldiers were accused of atrocities against civilians in Iraq. However, when several of them were convicted, and sentenced to life in prison, he never retracted his original denial. Also, he told a Jewish caller to his radio show, that if he didn’t like the emphasis on Christmas, “to move to Israel”. Hence, it is about time that O’Reilly is fired!

Well, I listened to Maxine Waters’ speech (and past speeches) and she just stumbled through a written speech of mostly false statements. Her poor diction and the lack of foundation behind her statements were greater distractions for me.

No, I will not apologize for that. I do not respect her. I will not support her. Yadda yadda yadda.
