Washington – U.S. Says 59 Missiles Targeted Aircraft, Air Defense Systems

    “These missiles targeted aircraft, hardened aircraft shelters, petroleum and logistical storage areas, ammunition supply bunkers, air defense systems, and radars,” Pentagon Captain Jeff Davis spokesman told reporters.

    But did they hit their targets? Months ago we were told that the Russians had set up their best anti-missile system in Northern Syria, and then weeks ago we were told that the Iranians had succeeded in making skies in another part of Syria unsafe for Israeli aircraft with their modification to a Russian anti-aircraft system. Did any of this work? For both the US and Russia, this may have been just a test to see how their weapons play against each other.

    In 1936 the Nazis had the Condor Legion helping Franco and ffor the time used a dive bomber named Stuka and in 1939 the same bomber attacked

    I am trying to read the news, but it’s not reporting what you say. I’m reading that 59 missiles were fired, but that only 23 of them reached the Syrian airbase. So what happened to the other 36? I’m reading that none of the 23 missiles damaged the runway, but they did destroy 6 planes, a radar, a few repair hangars, a cafeteria, a training area, and an area where some civilians including children happened to be (oops).
