Trump tells Fox News in an interview Friday that he feels “guilty” when he returns to Trump Tower because authorities close surrounding streets and “I hate to see the New Yorkers with streets closed.” He says he goes to his clubs instead because they have “hundreds of acres” and streets stay open.
But Trump says he’s always accused of “having fun” or playing golf at his clubs; he says he’s always working.
The White House rarely acknowledges when Trump plays golf. Photos on social media sites are often the only clue that Trump has hit the links.
Trump is scheduled to visit New York City on Thursday.
So – it’s like this:
1. He takes no salary from the gov’t. ($400,000/year)
2. He works more than 16+ hrs/day.
3. He sleeps 3-4 hrs/night.
If he wants to play golf every weekend, what do I care? And why should anyone else? He’s worked more in the last 100 days than Obummer did in his first term.
The fact that this item made “the news” shows how petty our media is.
His absence from NY is no mystery. He’s avoiding his wife..
It Is so refreshing and heartwarming to finally have a president who is so clearly devoted to his country, unlike the traitor we had in office for 8 yrs prior!!!!
Trump’s separation to blame his 100 pathtic days in office sure has his army of trolls working in high gear.
Soon, in ten or twenty years, there will be a President Trump Historic District in Manhattan.
I think that it is ludicrous for President Trump and Australian Prime Minister Turnbull, to hold a ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea, on the USS Intrepid, in Manhattan. The USS Intrepid did not take place in the Battle of the Coral Sea, and wasn’t even in existence at the time. The Intrepid was commissioned in 1943, and the Battle of the Coral Sea, took place in 1942. What sense does it make for the City of New York to have to go to the expense of $350,000 in providing extra security for our President, when he could have observed a ceremony with Turnbull at the White House? He used to criticize Obama for the extra security costs, and the traffic problems, when Obama came into NYC; now, he is dong the same thing.
