H.R. McMaster told reporters in a brief statement that The Washington Post report published Monday “is false” and “at no time” were intelligence sources or methods discussed during Trump’s meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The Post report says Trump revealed highly classified information about Islamic State militants to Lavrov and Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak, during a meeting at the White House last week.

McMaster says: “I was in the room. it didn’t happen.”

McMaster says the president did not discuss details that were not already known publicly.

The WP story did not mention Trumpie’s revealing ‘intelligence sources or methods.’ So McMasters denial of this is absurd, just a verbal twist trying to refute something that didn’t occur. Down goes Toxic Trump and his fabissina agenda.

I would like to see the government sue the media for this false report. I don’t know what the legalities are, but WP is one of the known anti-Trump schmattes. Fact or truth has not meant very much to the MSM.

No guys, while the dust hasn’t settled yet on this story, it is NOT looking good for the President.

    1) Only after the AP released this story did the Washington Post have an opportunity to respond. Their national editor stood by their original story, and called McMaster’s denial a “non-denial denial” on Twitter, noting that the story had not alleged that sources or methods were discussed.

    2) Details are now becoming clear of steps the White House took to cover-up / contain the fiasco. These steps widened the number of people who needed to become aware of the President’s action. The press is already mentioning by name one person involved in the cover-up, Bossert – who can be subpoenaed, and whose actions can be verified by call logs and documents. The attempts to perform damage control on the incident are described as also involving a circle of professional intelligence officers – who can be subpoenaed, and whose actions can be verified by call logs and documents.

    3) Further details are emerging from multiple MSM sources citing multiple government employees about what information exactly was leaked, who was the original source, why it’s important, and why the leak is so damaging.

Even I had my doubts about the story (too crazy to be a true story, I thought) but the carefully crafted denial which didn’t deny what the article alleged was so Bill Clinton that I’m now pretty sure the story is true.

As i understand the single main issue is that Trump allegedly revealed the name of a city in which intelligence was obtained. Yet the WP admits that it itself knows the name of the city (but will not publish it). So isn’t the person who revealed the name to the WP guilty of passing classified information for not real reason (the name itself is what is the security concern and the knowing the name adds nothing of value to the accusations here).
