Tom Nisani and Sara Lurcat wed Thursday in a rushed ceremony at the site where the First and Second Temples once stood.

Jews are forbidden from praying at the site, which is home to the Muslim Dome of the Rock shrine and a flashpoint for conflict between Jews and Muslims.

In a video distributed to the media, the couple can be seen walking at the site accompanied by a police escort, as is the norm for Jewish visitors there.

Nisani quickly places a ring on Lurcat’s finger in front of witnesses and then recites the traditional wedding blessing. The couple is dressed in street wear rather than traditional wedding clothes.

Nissan and Lurcat wrote on Facebook that they hoped their wedding would inspire other couples to be married on the Temple Mount.

The couple is active in a group called Students for the Temple Mount; Nisani serves as its chairman. He also works as the national activist coordinator for the right-wing Zionist group Im Tirtzu.

In 2016, The Temple Institute, a Jerusalem-based organization that wants to build a third temple on the Temple Mount, claimed it held a secret Jewish wedding at the site.

A nice gesture but why give the Arabs an excuse to riot?

It is so unfortunate to see these misguided Jews thinking theyre performing a Mitzvah, while sadly commiting the very opposite. The very act of Kedusha of getting married may look beau to them at the holiest place by Jews but unfortunately this sin is chayiv miise. This is such bad publicity in general that the Muslims see that Jews perform rituals over there. Bad bad for Jews and big sins enolved.

I wonder if anyone will die because of this. Oh, well, the main thing is the young couple managed to make their point.

Arabs don’t need a reason to riot. According to Halacha there are many places one CAN go on Had Ha Bayit. One only has to learn what is truly permitted, and what is not.
The more we show we are afraid to anger the Arabs, the more insolent they will behave to the Jews!!
It is time to publicly declare that G-D, in His historical unrefuted document called The Holy Bible, The Old Testament, states CLEARLY that He gave the Land of Israel to the Jewish People. Please read further and learn that one is FORBIDDEN TO SELL ANY LAND OF ISRAEL TO NON JEWS, not only that, but renting to non Jews applies only to those who adhere to the seven Noahide commandments and of course are truly peaceful law abiding residents!!!
There is NOTHING WRONG WHAT THIS COUPLE DID, AND THEIR ACT SHOULD SHOULD BE COMMENDED, ENCOURAGED, ALL SHOULD BLESS THEM WITH A HAPPY JEWISH LIFE TOGETHER!!!

    Mazal tov & kol hakavod!!!

To #6 you’re 1000% right the arabs will riot bec they woke up in the morning, may they stop waking up in the morning. We, not them, are the chosen with the permission by Hashem to own israel therefore they have no right to say anything. Unfortunately, it’s the UN & the EU that prevent us from doing what we should have done a very long time ago.

As for 7 I hope ur were joking bec a lot of ur rant was unclear & bs I hope one day you realize that. On the other hand, if u were being sarcastic or joking around then I apologize for my comment made out to u, it can be made though to the rest of you who don’t believe in Hashems promise to us.

Which rov officiated at this forbidden place to be? It’s sad for all of us,Hashem should protect the fools and us Bec of the foolish

They cannot legally get married in EY, without an Orthodox Rabbi officiating; just because, one places a ring and says the blessing “Haray at mekudeshet, etc.”, does not make the marriage legally binding. Perhaps, it is a symbolic wedding, but that is all that it is. I personally think that they were very irresponsible. When Sharon wanted to make a point by going to the Temple Mount in 2000, he instigated riots, which lasted for years, and caused the lives of thousands of Jews and Arabs.
