In series of emails obtained by ProPublica, attorney Marc Kasowitz used profanity and threatened the man. One of his four messages says: “I already know where you live. I’m on you.”

The man emailed Kasowitz after reports explored why he had not sought a security clearance.

A spokesman for Kasowitz confirmed the authenticity of the emails and says Kasowitz “intends to apologize” to the man. Spokesman Mike Sitrick added that the missives were sent at the end of a “very long day.”

In a statement, Kasowitz calls it “one of those times where one wishes he could reverse the clock.”

Other news media is reporting that this guy Kasowitz is ineligible for a security clearance because of his prior bad behavior, so Trump has chosen a lawyer who can’t get a security clearance for a matter that requires a security clearance.

Trump Jr. has done a bit different. The lawyer he chose specializes in defending organized crime kingpins.

When I was in government, this was described as a defense tactic to intimidate the prosecution from using evidence because it would have to be shared with the defense counsel, who couldn’t be trusted with the information.

I cannot imagine asking my divorce/family law lawyer for help on a criminal matter. If I did, I cannot her imagine here giving me any advice other than to call someone else.
