That means Reince Priebus is out.
Trump tweeted: “I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American.”
Kelly is currently the secretary of Homeland Security.
Trump tweeted that Kelly “has been a true star of my administration.”
Priebus traveled with Trump earlier in the day to an appearance in Brentwood, New York. Trump thanked him for his service and “dedication to his country.”
Great!
Drain the swamp! Plug the leaks. Smart move.
The real news is that even though Trump has not been able to fill so many national security positions, he decided to remove General Kelly chief from the Department of Homeland Security without naming a successor. Russia must be happy that we now have a leaderless DHS in addition to all those other un-filled important jobs.
It’s a game of musical chairs. Every few days, Trump stops the music, fires someone, and the remaining players rotate.
You remember just a few days ago the news story about the new Trump communications director Scaramucci using vulgar language so openly and freely. The Americans have a phrase for that. They call it “swearing like a marine”. Well, guess what, this Kelly guy is a former marine general, so Trump has brought close to him TWO, in one week.
Psychotic and paranoid.
