Washington – Sen. Charles Schumer says the Food and Drug Administration should launch a formal investigation into the health consequences of chemicals used in fast food packaging.

The New York Democrat on Sunday released a letter he sent to the head of the agency asking for the investigation into phthalates, which are used in plastics to make them more flexible.
Some phthalates have been linked to health issues, both developmental and reproductive. People can be exposed to phthalates if they eat or drink food that’s come into contact with containers made with the chemicals.
Schumer pointed out that some types of phthalates have been restricted from use in children’s toys. He said an investigation would determine how safe fast food packaging is.
The FDA did not immediately comment.

For a couple of months he was not on the front page every Monday. I sort of missed him.
What took Mr Schumer so long to wake up to this problem? He is a corrupt phony. These classes of xenoestrogen chemicals like Bisphenol A are likely behind a lot of the infertility problems we are seeing. So we have all of these organizations in our community raising money for fertility treatments, but none of them have the guts to publicize this problem. I wonder why. There are reports in the scientific literature that amphibians in the wild like frogs and fish have been turned from male to female as a result of exposure to these chemicals as well as pesticides like Atrazine. Additionally besides causing physical changes these various substances are causing behavioral changes in the realm of gender identity in wildlife and also probably in humans. Rather then address the fact that the gender identity crisis is being caused by environmental factors and could likely be prevented and or treated, we are told we must accept these people as they are and doctors are permitted to do reassignment surgery. Ultimately the fault lies with our corrupt congress and bureaucracy.Wake up people.
