A news report about U.S. President Donald Trump's relationship with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) plays on a television as he speaks to reporters in the press cabin aboard Air Force One on his way to Washington after viewing damage from Hurricane Irma in Florida, U.S. September 14, 2017. Pelosi calls the bill a moral monstrosity. The Senate bill relies on sending block grants to the states to provide health coverage.

Pelosi says members are encouraged to participate in what she called a tweet storm against “Trumpcare” Tuesday afternoon from noon to 2 p.m.

She is also urging members in “this emergency request” to schedule town hall meetings and press conferences to speak out against the legislation. Senate Republicans must pass the measure by Sept. 30 to avoid a Democratic filibuster.

Pelosi says House Democrats will fully mobilize to lift up the voices of families who would be devastated by the legislation.

The ACA has resulted in significant increases for those not on government insurance or subsidies. These are facts . I have yet to meet one person satisfied with their post ACA insurance when not on any government subsidy.

    So why not single payer?
Because it will discourage people from becoming doctors. Yes some do it for the mission but thats not enough. A dr who puts on tremendous debt in school and then puts in long hours needs to get paid well. We have already seen and suffer through institutionalizing pediatricians. I can never see my child’s doctor because he can only stay in business if its a mass production. So all I get is the PA. And my child’s pediatrician is a tzadik who is totally not out for the money.

Furthermore, private insurers actually save money. They do that thru running it like a business and thinking innovatley. My work pays me for work on wellness. Government insurance may send you a couple of e-mails but what motivates you to join work on wellness? Its when companies pay you money. And I can personally attest to its effectiveness.

But wait shouldn’t we all get insurance like those “leech do nothing” senators?
Should we also all earn 176k like the senators? Its such a silly argument. A senator is a high end position so they got top insurance. The governemnt as a whole can not offer top notch dr’s to all . its simply unaffordable. And no advanced country in the world offers the best to all.

If you’d like to argue that some elementary insuarnce should be offered to all, OK. But you cannot afford access to all drs. And you must solve the idea the private insuarnce is cheaper and run more efficeitenly. And lease dont mess around with America to notch second to none health care system
