Mayor Bill de Blasio says the attack on a bike path near the World Trade Center “was an act of terror, and a particularly cowardly act of terror aimed at innocent civilians.”

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo called it a “lone wolf” attack. He says there’s no evidence to suggest it was part of a wider plot.

Police said the vehicle, a rented Home Depot truck, entered the bike path on West Street a few blocks from the new World Trade Center — the site of the deadliest terror attack in U.S. history — and mowed down several people. The truck also slammed into a small yellow school bus, injuring two adults and two children.

A paintball gun and a pellet gun were found at the scene, police said.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene of a white pickup truck hitting bicyclists on a path near the World Trade Center and then slamming into a school bus. They say the driver got out of his vehicle brandishing what appeared to be a gun in each hand.

Manhattan restaurant chef Eugene Duffy was crossing a street when he heard something, turned back and saw the pickup truck on the bike path. He says he saw the bodies of two men on the ground, their bikes mangled.

He says he ran south and saw a yellow half-size school bus that appeared to have been T-boned and firefighters trying to get children out.

These politicians are a bunch of fools. Even Pelosi, who is either demented or has brain damage, limited her comments to prayers and wishes for victims. This event just happened. No one knows anything about lone wolf or a coordinated attack. Whoever claims to is honesty-challenged. Let detectives do their thing and reach conclusions. Then these brainless, heartless idiots can share their opinions about the cause. There is zero evidence so far to eliminate the possibility of this being a planned terror attack with a wider plot. Rushing to politically correct conclusions is indicative of some character traits that are dangerous for politicians. I cannot ever vote for such idiots.

Was VIN just hacked by a Muslim who edited the front page to say “Alahu Akhbar”?

Here we go again. The peace loving religion. Come out all you intellectually challenged Democrats with your PC unintelligible babble about political correctness. Come out all you folks who want open borders. I wish you and your families are the next victims of this evil.

This hypocrite of an idiotic mayor wants to turn New York City into a sanctuary city so we can protect lowlifes like the one who attacked New York City today.

Are you sure it wasn’t just work place violence? I mean maybe he was just working for Home Depot and got lost?

As much as I despise DeBlasio and his PC liberal policies, his completely inane comment here is a standard, popular idiocy. Terrorists are not cowards. They are brave. Evil, savage, barbaric, and worth exterminating. But you cannot proclaim them cowards. They know they will be apprehended, injured, or killed. And they do their terror anyway. That does not fit a definition for coward. I would not be making public praises of their bravery, but saying something stupid does gain my respect either.

I would rather hear politicians tell me something about how they will look to improve safety and prevent such tragedies. None of them did that, except Trump (whether you agree or not, he tried). All the mayor did was to tell New Yorkers to be the police here and to “See something, say something”. What will he do, besides offering sanctuary to every Muslim that wants to come here? Sanctuary much!
