Baghdad, Iraq – U.S. Forces Collide With Shi’ite Militia

Baghdad, Iraq – U.S. troops mounted two raids with 20 gunman killed in a clash involving U.S. troops at a radical Shiite mosque with shi’ite militia in eastern Baghdad. Also did the U.S. arrest 41 Baghdad Interior Ministry personnel after raiding an Interior Ministry building and finding 17 non-Iraqi prisoners, and freeing them from a secret bunker complex there.
