Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY +Major Water Main Break+ A large sinkhole 12 feet by 12 feet was created in middle of the street corner of 73rd Street and 4th Avenue, caused by a large water main break with a Jeep SUV that was swallowed into the hole, the driver female self extricated and has no injuries, PD, ESU, DEP, OEM, FDNY, Keyspan and Con-Ed are all on the scene. The vehicle inside the hole is resting on a main gas line.
There is no gas or water in a 5 block radius, they might shut off the electricity as well.

FD on the scene requesting power to be shut off to the transit system northbound and southbound of the “R” lines between 95th Street and 36th Street, due to water streaming into transit.
