Once a rising star in the Democratic Party, Franken made the announcement in a speech Thursday on the Senate floor.

“I know in my heart that nothing I’ve done as a senator – nothing – has brought dishonor on this institution,” Franken said on the Senate floor. “Nevertheless, today I am announcing that in the coming weeks, I will be resigning as a member of the United States Senate.”

The two-term lawmaker has repeatedly apologized as several women stepped forward to accuse him of nappropriate behavior.

But a fresh allegation on Wednesday unleashed a torrent of Democratic demands that Franken step aside. Female senators led the chorus.

Franken is an actor who appeared on “Saturday Night Live” and an author who narrowly won his Senate seat in 2008 after a prolonged vote count. He has been a fierce opponent of the Trump administration.

His political fall has been swift by congressional standards. The first allegation surfaced on Nov. 16.

OK, these men accused are pigs. However, what about the women? Are they all victims? In Jewish law, a man is not allowed to seclude himself with a woman (called ‘yichud’). So what were these women thinking when they agreed to come up to the man’s hotel room and have a vodka? Don’t they know that hormones run thru a man at a time like this with vigor? And they agreed to meet a man this way, and expect the man to behave like they were a piece of furniture. And the way women dress nowadays, that shouldn’t be a factor? Gimme a break !

It’s been a very bad few weeks for liberals. They can’t seem to get out of their own way.

To #13 -You are an idiot for blaming the victims in this case, alleging that their behavior “and the way that they dress” brought on the actions of the perpetrators. Do you also blame the victims in Yeshivahs who are sexually abused by principals, teachers, etc?
