Franks, an Arizona Republican who has served in Congress since 2003, said he recently learned the House Ethics Committee had opened an investigation of the complaints. “I deeply regret that my discussion of this option and process in the workplace caused distress,” he said in a statement.
Franks is Chairman of the Israel allies Caucus in the United States House of Representatives, the only official pro-Israel caucus in Congress. Franks has been a staunch supporter of Israel throughout the years.
A big loss but just shows that this thing is not one sided and republicans will quit too.
Massive loss, this man was the biggest Israel supporter on Capitol Hill, more than any other politician.
Sounds like a real strange dude.
What was the context? Pouring his heart out? Discussing reality with staff? Trying to help?
THIS. IS. INSANE.
Story makes no sense at all.
