New York – NY Tri-state Area Get 6 Inches Of Snow As Season’s First Flakes Fall

REUTERS/Brendan McDermid New York – A dreamy snow drifted down on Saturday with fluffy flakes that made New York City look like a snow globe, but officials warned cold, icy weather could make for difficult driving conditions overnight.

    An inch or more of snow was recorded across much of the tri-state by evening, including 1.8 inches in Central Park, 2 inches in Long Island City, 2.8 inches in Hoboken and 3.2 inches in Bronxville, according to the National Weather Service.

    The snow was expected to continue into the night, with New York City and much of the rest of the region getting 3 to 5 inches by Sunday morning.
