In a tweet Sunday, Trump blasts the lack of attention over what he describes as “false and defamatory stories” by the “Fake News Media.”

“They are out of control – correct reporting means nothing to them. Major lies written, then forced to be withdrawn after they are exposed…a stain on America!” Trump writes.

Over the past two weeks, ABC News and CNN have had to issue corrections and clarifications on stories that initially had been damaging to the president but didn’t live up to scrutiny. And on Saturday, Trump demanded and received an apology from a Washington Post reporter over a photo of Trump’s Florida rally on Friday that made it look sparsely attended.

Yup the media is our enemy . I just don’t buy into the notion that its part of our sacred religion to believe in free press . Yes independent press is good but to a point . When they lie and decive the masses via twists , exaggerations and half facts so that they can deliver the message they want we know they overstepped . Down with the media .

History has many examples of media messing up. Sometimes b’davka.
Look at Hearst and Yellow Journalism. That put us in war.
Look at Tabloid News. Remember when Murdoch busted for hacking the phones of celebrities, government officials and members of the British Royal Family on several occasions.
Nowadays, think of the Criminal Little Jimmy O’Keefe. Guerrilla journalism at the worst. He can slice and splice better than Edward Scissorhands or any Ronco gadget.

How can we try to remedy this situation?

Not the Executive of a country telling a media to fire staff. That is draconian … especially after the press corrected their reportings.

When we fire OUR employees, elected or not, who lie. And don’t retract or apologize? For example, the topic du jour, ‘tax reform.’ (Even that phase is a lie)
OUR employees lie and say …
    >> “The wealthy are not getting a tax cut under our plan”
    >> “The debt will not get bigger”
    >> “The working (or middle) class will get bigger tax breaks”

Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants. Support the free press!
