Newton, MA – Strip Mall To Be Kosher

Newton, Massachusetts – The owners of the kosher Bodavi Bakers and nearly century-old Gordon & Alperin meat market are bringing a new deli, larger meat market and pizzeria – each of them kosher – for a all new all kosher strip mall in Newton that will open after Passover.

The new stores will cater to the area’s large number of Orthodox and Conservative Jews who are keeping kosher. They will all be overseen by three mashgiachs, full-time supervisors for the Kashruth Commission of the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts. A mashgiach remains on site whenever the businesses are operating, allowing the stores to advertise the KVH (Kosher Vaad Harabonim) symbol.
