At the end of International Holocaust Memorial Day, Sanders wrote “Proud to work for @POTUS who stands strong for Israel and all the Jewish people #NeverForget #NeverAgain.” In the tweet, she included a link to a video of her father, former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, telling the story of her first visit to Yad Vashem as an 11 year old.

In the video, Huckabee says he took Sanders to Yad Vashem to show how “unique” Israel is, having been created in the wake of the Holocaust. He also told of how Sanders wrote a simple message in the guest book, asking, “why didn’t somebody do something?”

Trump received lavish praise for his December 6 announcement recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and pledge to move the embassy there. A week later, a Smith Research poll taken for The Jerusalem Post found Trump’s popularity to skyrocket among Israelis. In the US, many right-leaning Jewish groups favored the move, while left-leaning groups objected it.

In May 2017, while serving as principal deputy press secretary, Sanders tweeted about Israel during Trump’s visit to the country.

“Israel was amazing. Thank you [Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] and [President Reuven Rivlin] for being such great hosts,” she wrote at the time, alongside a picture of the skyline at sunset from her airplane.

Sanders was appointed press secretary in July 2017 and has defended the administration’s positions on Israel during daily press briefings and a number of television appearances.

World leaders, including Trump and US Vice President Mike Pence, remembered International Holocaust Memorial Day on Saturday by sharing messages on Twitter.

A ‘reset’ with the Toxic Yutz, when his word means absolutely nothing? One word from Sloppy Stevie Miller and he goes back on his word. How many resets does he need, on every issue? The Yutz has back-slid on attacking the CIA, NATO, British Prime Minister, Mexico, the Dreamers, everything else. Dismal performance by Yutzy. Feh.

In an honor to have an administration that’s a friend of Israel. It’s been a long time coming.

Sorry Ms Sanders. All wrong. Trump can stand with the State of Israel but thst does not include ALL Jews. We are proud American Jews and have no dual citizenship to the State of Israel. We Jews are NOT represented by Israel nor by Bibi. We are loyal American citizens and President Trump is OUR president. Bibi and Israel does not in any way represent all the jews. And he doesnt even represent quite a many Jews that live in Israel.

She is magnificent, a class act, who chides the fake news press in a very clear yet non-insulting manner. Great pick from the president, as usual.

Israel supporter? That’s strange, when I think of him as a supporter, it is more of the athletic variety.
