Brooklyn, NY – The NYPD is turning to the public for assistance and hoping that recently released video footage will help them identify a pair of men who passed themselves off as police officers before robbing two people on the outskirts of Borough Park this past summer.

Police said that a 46 year old man was in front of 813 55th Street on August 10th, 2017 at 11 PM when he was approached by two black men who flashed police shields at him before placing him in handcuffs.
The suspects drove the victim around in a vehicle before robbing him of $1,600, a Chase card, an iPhone and jewelry.
The suspects then entered the victim’s residence near 51st Street and 8th Avenue at approximately 3 AM and tied up a 50 year old woman before leaving the apartment with $1,000 and jewelry. The two men left in a minivan, heading in an unknown direction.
Both victims declined medical attention.
