Two sections of the Thruway – Exit 11 to the western end of the Tappan Zee Bridge, and the 6-mile stretch from Exit 14 to Exit 15 – will be repaired and repaved. Twelve bridges along the Thruway in the county also will be fixed, and a second left-lane will be added to northbound Exit 14B (Airmont Road). The project will be completed late next year.
The pavement replacement project will be similar to work the Thruway did between exits 14 and 11 last year, said the Thruway Authority’s division director for the Hudson Valley.

Work is expected to begin in the late summer, and will be done at night and in the early morning.
