For years, Simcha has worked tirelessly on behalf of the community. For the past three and a half years, he has served on Mayor de Blasio’s policy team in Albany, where he has been responsible for legislation important to New York City. He routinely interacts with Assembly Members and Senators and is both well-liked and regarded as highly effective.
Prior to his appointment to the Mayor’s team, Simcha served as a senior advisor to NYS State Comptroller Thomas Dinapoli. In that capacity, he sat in on policy meetings with the Comptroller and worked as a liaison with various state agencies to resolve complex issues.
Hailing from a prominent rabbinical family, Simcha’s involvement in helping those in need began while he was still in yeshiva. Following a number of years as a successful community activist working with various mosdos and community organizations, Simcha understood that he would be more effective aiding his community if he learned the inner workings of government.
‘Once people see you as a problem solver, you have to make a choice—either let them down or rise to the occasion,” Simcha said. “I strive to help people and never let them down.
“I look forward to speaking with the many people in our district that I have not had the opportunity to meet yet,” Simcha continued. “I want to talk about what I’ve done and what I’d like to accomplish, but most importantly I look forward to hearing about your needs and your ideas as I seek your support.”
Great looking forward to pull the ballot on your name go for it
SimCHa EiCHenstein.
Great. A name that the general public will definitely be unable to pronounce correctly.
He better be good at what he does!
I hope he stays focused on his job if he’s elected.
Oiy Gevalt the rebbis are starting to make their way out to the streets. until now we had them only controlling the yashiva systems now they are becoming our politicians
Rachmana L’tzun, another party droid backed by the images of Tammany Hall. Will we ever learn? Of course the issue is no one wants to run unless they are part of the party shenanigans as that guarantees the electorate will line up behind them.
An Assembly member interested and involved in the legislative process rather than frequent press conferences and photo ops will be quite a change for Boro Park. Unlike Hikind, I assume the new Assembly member will actually sit on an Assembly committee as do all members with the exception of Hikind.
there will be more “candidates” .Then the corrupt parties take over and decide who will be the assemblyperson.
What education did he receive? How old is he?
If he started with deBlasio, we need somebody else!!
If he’s been working on the DeBalsio team lobbying Albany, he’s a total failure. DeBlasio has never been able to get what he wants in Albany!
We need someone who can get things done; not someone who hasn’t been able to get anything done.
how can we trust someone who campaigned for Obama, or learned his trade under Ezra Friedlander?
will he vote for every single gay bill under the sun, with his reklach and payis?
