    Pompeo arrives in Israel from a state visit to Saudi Arabia and is meant to continue from Israel to Jordan.

    Pompeo was sworn in on April 26 and is the 70’th US Secretary of State, having replaced former US State Secretary Rex Tillerson.

    The Prime Minister congratulated him upon taking office and said, “We are very proud of the fact that this is your first visit as Secretary of State.” US Secy. of State Pompeo replied, “You’re an incredibly important partner, [and] occupy a special place in my heart too.”
