The moment of silence was held a week ago at the Beacon School located in the Hell’s Kitchen area of Manhattan. The school “tends to lean left,” the New York Post reported over the weekend.

Some Jewish parents told the Post that they were unhappy that the school got involved in the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

“I am extremely upset because I did not send my child to a New York City public school to pray for Hamas operatives,” one father told the newspaper.

“I just don’t think any school should be promoting a moment of silence for terrorists. What if it was Islamic terrorists in ISIS?” said the Jewish mother of another student.

A Jewish student told the newspaper that some of her Jewish friends “got very weird when the moment of silence started.” Sophie Steinberg, a junior from Brooklyn, said: “They don’t know how to feel. They don’t know how to fit into all of this.” She said she was not surprised by the moment of silence. “I think that’s Beacon’s nature — to not be divisive but to bring up the things that no one wants to talk about,” she told the New York Post.

Fools! The liberals seemed to have lost the ability to reason and think logically. They believe with their hearts and do not allow their minds to think.

Like a judge who hears one side of a case and condemns the other side and does not allow that other side to talk because of the despicable behavior that he was just accused of….

If I live to be a thousand I’ll never understand how support for racist anti left terrorists has become a left wing plank

It is chutzpah for any public school to take political positions. It is not better in colleges and universities. Those who do this should be terminated.

Now that the schools fall directly under the authority of the mayor, I would hope to hear our council members that campaigned on the premise of being experienced and ethical lodge intense protest. Or is the mayor also siding with terrorists?

This could only happen in school overrun by liberal wackos and in a liberal city with a liberal nut for a mayor.

In a school system that pretends to be secular and yet has children singing carols and creating Valentine’s cards, closes for Easter and Christmas, this is surprising. The moral bearing of society are reflected in how we teach our children. Given the current makhlokes in our cheders, where children are not discouraged when spitting on or stamping on publications from the “other” cheder, are we to be shocked.
As far as “liberal …”, these are our representatives. Take out a dictionary and look that word up. “We have seen the enemy and he is us” saith Pogo the Wise. Time to clean the mirrors.
