Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, head of Jerusalem’s Eida Chareidis, arrived in the New York area on Tuesday and will be speaking at an anti-Zionist Satmar convention taking place this Sunday at the Nassau Coliseum.

A video showing Rabbi Sternbuch’s seven car motorcade driving down Wilson Street, with an undetermined number of SUVs in the procession bearing lights and sirens and making an illegal right on red light at the Bedford Avenue intersection.

Under Article 9 of the New York City Vehicle and Traffic law, only emergency vehicle engaged in emergency operations are allowed to display colored flashing lights, with similar restrictions applying to sirens.

The 90th Precinct is aware of the video, reported The NY Daily News.

“If any vehicle is observed using unauthorized lights and sirens, an investigation will be conducted and appropriate enforcement action will be taken,” said NYPD spokesperson Sergeant Jessica McRorie. “The NYPD did not provide an escort and did not observe the SUV’s using lights or sirens.”

A second video that surfaced showed Rabbi Sternbuch being driven through Kiryas Joel in another motorcade featuring flashing lights and sirens. Like New York City, New York State law also restricts volunteers’ use of flashing lights and sirens to those responding to emergencies.

Enough with this garbage! Why do all the Rebbas need the lights? If the ones allowed abuse it then the nypd should ban everyone from having these toys!

Poor guy in the back, all he has is a Ford Explorer, I don’t think he qualifies for this. Only Suburbans, Yukons and Escalades should be involved in this ‘holy’ ritual.

Before anybody comments. Please be aware. That this issue is related to the
Big satmar fight, this story like many other stories that happens in Williamsburg. It’s the same old..same old. One team trying to make the other team look bad

This rabbi from Isreal is part of there big fight, one team doesn’t like him. And the other team…you get the idea

Why aren’t they concerned about chillul Hashem?

While we’re already on this subject why are Shomrim and shmira allowed to have lights and sirens? They’re not emergency workers, they are a civil volunteer patrol?

Arrogant chutzpaniks should be tracked down, ticketed and punished according to our laws. Sirens have no business being used to shuttle rebbeim in non -emergency situations.

A bunch of immature 5th graders driving around with SUVs I hope NYPD throws the book at them, An emergency room doctor once told me although he never has proven this scientifically he is convinced the more lights and sirens the smaller the male reproductive organ.

Whereas R. Sternbuch is one of the big rabbis in Jerusalem, what would be so terrible if he sat in the car waiting for the red light to change to green?

Funny… Seems like the protest he will be speaking about is partially about how zionist actions endanger jews, yet they forget about the rioting loss of life that resulted when some other grand rebbe’s motorcade killed someone. To drive around in an illegal motorcade like this is a chillul hashem and a danger to all jews.

Lets be clear , this has nothing to do with rabbi sternbuch, it has only to do with people who are empty in life and get their satisfaction from this childish behavior

As much as I’m glad he’s out of Israel, he shouldn’t be given any special treatment. Maybe he will stay in Willy and all his cult members will follow and leave us alone. One can but dream.
