Brooklyn, NY – Detectives at the NYPD’s 94th Precinct are hoping that amateur video captured by a passerby will help them locate a motorist who tried to slash another driver with a blade before pinning him between two cars and dragging him in a road rage incident that took place in Greenpoint

Police said that they received a 911 call at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon from a 24 year old motorist in a dark colored Toyota sedan who said that he had been involved in an altercation with the driver of a white Hyundai with Florida plates at the intersection of McGuiness Boulevard and Norman Avenue.

Both motorists got out of their cars, with the driver of the Hyundai pulling a box cutter and attempting to slash the victim before diving into the Toyota from the passenger-side door and snatching the keys from the car.

Video shows the driver of the Hyundai jumping back into his vehicle in an attempt to flee the scene, with the victim racing to the Hyundai and reaching into the open driver-side window in an attempt to retrieve his keys.

A bearded Jewish-looking man joined the fray, trying to pull the driver of the Toyota away from the Hyundai, jumping away as the Hyundai began to move, deliberately sideswiping a stopped van in an attempt to dislodge the victim who was clinging to the driver-side door.

As the Hyundai continued to move, the victim was pinned between the two vehicles and dragged forward, flipping up into the air before landing upside down between two stopped cars. He managed to escape serious injury and was able to get up within seconds of the accident, with the bearded good Samaritan once again returning to offer his assistance.

Both the victim’s shoes and a section of the Hyundai’s front fender were left behind on the roadway as the Hyundai fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital with bruises to his hip and abrasions on his hands.

Detectives at the 94th Precinct are continuing to investigate into the incident.

how hard is it to catch a guy with his license plate in known site? these NYPD detectives seem to only know how to “investigate” dunkin donuts issues or worse yet rape arrested teenage girls as happened a few months ago, real trash.
