Washington – Assemblyman Dov Hikind got a presidential shout out today on Twitter, thanking the Brooklyn democrat for voicing his support of Donald Trump in light of yesterday’s deportation of a 95 year old concentration camp guard who had been living in Queens.

As previously reported on VIN News, Jakiw Palij was quietly returned to Germany 25 years after he admitted to investigators that he had lied about his activities during the war in order to gain admission to the United States. Hikind had long been outspoken in his efforts about deporting Palij, taking part in annual rallies outside Palij’s Jackson Heights home and calling on the Department of Justice for his ouster.

In an appearance this morning on Fox and Friends, Hikind praised President Trump for his efforts, noting that the president had acted to mete out justice, something that his predecessors had failed to do for years.

Trump responded to the interview with a tweet saying “Thank you to Democrat Assemblyman Dov Hikind of New York for your very gracious remarks on @foxandfriends for our deporting a longtime resident Nazi back to Germany! Others worked on this for decades.”

Hikind said that he had been saying for months that he believed that Trump would finally rid Jackson Heights of its Nazi presence and that recent letters he had received from the Department of Justice indicated that “they were serious about this like never before.”

“The president deserves amazing credit and I wish that everyone would stop with the nonsense of trying to undermine him,” Hikind told VIN News. “The guy gets things done.”

I acknowledge the good things that Trump has done, but I don’t think that he can be redeemed any more than Bill Clinton could. His remarks about women are simply an absolute black mark on his soul that nothing can erase.

My bro Munch says the Nazi shouldn’t have been quietly returned but rather with uproar.

I’ve met Hikind and asked him if he voted for Trump. He told me no and never will. But like him, I also told him I didn’t vote for Trump and was always ambivalent about him even though I agree with a lot of what he does and says. However, there are better ways to go about it than the constant lying, put downs and childish behavior that’s unbecoming for a POTUS. A little common decency can go a long way.

I will say it again. There is nothing to be excited about this Nazi butcher being deported.
In most cases when Nazis where “caught” living in America the US government knew about them all the years. Nobody gives a dam when Jews were killed in the millions.
After living a good life in America the so called justice seekers are trying to clean their hands by deporting old geezers when they are about to die anyways anytime soon.
I am not speaking about the real Nazi hunters and Hikind who really means it sincerely.

To #7 - How ignorant are you? The USA cannot try those Nazis here, as the crimes took place in Europe. However, in civil proceedings, their USA citizenship can be removed for lying on their naturalization applications. Then, they are eligible for deportation. Unfortunately, some of the countries at the other end (i.e. Germany, Poland, Ukraine, etc.), are not always anxious to take those scum back. Hence, this is why it took so long, namely twenty five years to deport that piece of garbage. Yes, he will be tried in a court of law, but not here.
