Brooklyn, NY – Footage Released Of Suspect In BP Burglary Spree

Brooklyn, NY – A string of robberies in Borough Park that are all believed to have been committed by the same individual have the NYPD turning to the public for assistance in the hopes of identifying the suspect through surveillance footage.

The first two burglaries took place in the early morning hours of the second day of Succos.

Police said that the suspect forced open the locked back door of the Belz synagogue located at 1350 39th Street at approximately 1:30 AM, making off with two silver sefer Torah crowns before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Just under one hour later, the same suspect is believed to have forced open a rear window at JDN Marketing at 4605 13th Avenue, leaving the premises with $10,000 in cash, a cell phone and a hard drive.

Another commercial establishment located at 3905 15th Avenue is believed to have been burglarized by the same individual on October 6th at 1:22 AM, with the suspect forcing open a rear window before escaping with $10,000 in cash.

The Seret Vizhnitz synagogue located at 4811 13th Avenue was targeted on the morning of October 8th, with the same suspect believed to have entered the premises at approximately 4:20 AM, searching multiple lockers. Police said that they could not yet determine if anything was taken or how the suspect entered the building.

The suspect in all four incidents is described as a light skinned man with closely cropped hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black Under Armour jacket, blue jeans, a gray shirt, black sneakers and white gloves.
