The annual event draws rabbis from around the globe to the borough for what is billed as the World’s Largest Rabbinic Gathering, aimed at reviving Jewish awareness and practice.

The tradition, started by the late Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, dispatched thousands of shluchim (emissaries or agents) as part of a worldwide “Mitzvah Campaign” to help far-flung Jewish communities and bring Judaism to Jews with no or minimal Jewish engagement.

One of the highlights include the “class picture,” in which the thousands of rabbis pose early morning for a group photo in front of Chabad-Lubavitch world headquarters.

Later in the evening there is a gala banquet that brings together all the rabbi’s, supporters and lay-leaders for a sit-down dinner.

The event will be held in Suffern NY, at Rockland Community College.

See below the photos-video from this morning.

What a beautiful sight! I am not a Lubavitcher, however what the Rebbe ZT’L & his shuluchim have done for Yiddishkeit around the world is amazing. Please continue to spread Torah values across the world & foster Ahavas Yisroel. May HaShem bless you in all your efforts to promote Torah Yiddishkeit.

These guys love Klal Yisroel and Eretz Yisroel, and even self-hating Yidden like Satmarers and NK who are exclusionists- nobody is good but THEM. Nisht git.

The message of the Rebbe in 5752 when he addressed the shluchim is that currently our Avoda is to be Mekabel Pnai Moshiach. This is the last generation of
Golus and the fist generation of Geula. Moshiach is at hand

I went to visited a chabad House 25 years ago with friends for a Shabbos and I asked the Rabbi how is it you’re opening up a place knowing that people will be driving to you on Shabbos.fast forward 25 years visiting the same place I got my answer most of those people turned around to become observant living buying new home‘s closer to the synagogue their children are religious married with a bunch of their kids that are all in religion schools. That’s chabad.P.S And I’m not talking about all of those religious kids from all walks of life who fell off the bandwagon and they brought them back home. G-D bless the shiluchim for their sacrifice And the Rebbe for put them out in all parts of the world
