Peter Bradley, a member of the Clarkstown Town Council in Rockland County, apologized on Nov. 12 and again the following day at a council meeting for the statements he made on Nov. 2, less than a week after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting in which 11 worshippers were killed.

On Facebook, Bradley criticized New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for visiting with Orthodox Hasidic Jewish community leaders.

“Normal Jews and non-Jews alike were grieving at the JCC while they were meeting ‘the guy with the checkbook,’” wrote Bradley, who has been accused of using negative rhetoric about Jewish residents.

Before Tuesday’s Town Council meeting, demonstrators gathered outside Town Hall to protest his remark, the Rockland/Westchester Journal News reported.

“I do admit, the dialogue, the structure, the tone, has to be transitioned,” Bradley said during the meeting. He also said he has planned meetings with activists “just to get a grip on the complicated things … in Rockland.”

During a Nov. 8 interview on Channel 12 News, Bradley said that when he spoke of “normal” Jews, he meant “mainstream” or Reform Jews outside Ramapo, which also has a growing Orthodox community.

I agree with him, Satmar is not normal they ally themselves with Jew killers, they look at women just like ISIS does and live in beautiful homes while claiming to be the poorest town in America.

I was angry too. Cuomo met with the “leaders” of KJ and New Square and snubbed the over 1,000 non-Hasidic people in Rockland that gathered to honor the Jewish people killed in Pittsburgh. It’s obvious where Cuomo’s priorities are.

Bloomberg used to refer to the Chassidim as ” Black Hats”; yet, when he wanted their votes, when he was running to be reelected, he would come to Borough Park, and they would kiss his feet!

The Hate for frum by the elected officials in Rockland is not to be believed, they all say it behind closed doors, he was just idiotic to say it in public, he can take his apology and put it where the sun does not shine, this jerk won with 12 votes and will hopefully loses with a lot more

We non-Jews are often confused by your differing sects. That said, a politician in New York ought to know better. I recall when some police chief years ago wondered if Black people were more likely to die from a choke hold than were “normal people.” My Congressman once commented on all the college graduates with Asian names, not “American names.”

Question why do most Jews identify with the democratic party? Are the democrats more compassionate.

You can blame Him? After the New Square attempt of murder and how they celebrate this Rotzeach freedom. The statistics shows that in Viznitz area a lot of single mothers applying for welfare, why? Because can get more money and they divorce in civil courts. I’m chassidic and I’m ashamed of the corruption that’s going on in our communities. Everything that is wrong just ignore, goyim are anti Semitic. We cover everything up, molesters, crooks, even murderers.
But our Rabbi have a direct line with Hashamaim.
Our children are becoming secular in an alarming rate because they see how fake we are when it comes to our own interests. Wake up and smell the roses, we are in the information Dor, nothing can be shove under the rug, our children’s are too smart for that, they see everything

Now who the heck is #10 ?

To #16 - Hey Archy, check your facts, before expounding your unfounded allegations. The fact of the matter is that Bloomberg, came into Borough Park in 2009, BEFORE the Mayoral election of 2009, as he was seeking votes. This occurred only about three and a half years, after the NYPD cops beat people indiscriminately in Borough Park, during Chol Hamoed, Pesach, in 2006. Every Jewish politician in NYC condemned the actions of the brutal cops, with the exception of Bloomberg, who was silent. Yet, the leaders of the Borough Park community, kissed his feet, when he came looking for votes; a shanda!
