In a steady rain, Trump visited the cemetery during an annual event in which holiday wreaths are laid to honor the sacrifices made by veterans and their families.
The president’s trip to Arlington came about a month after he received criticism for not visiting the national cemetery on Veterans Day.
And that, in turn, came after a visit to a World War I cemetery in France was scuttled due to poor weather.
The president on Saturday listened to a tour guide as they walked through the rows of white tombstones.
Trump told reporters that he supported a plan to expand the cemetery so it could continue to hold burials for decades to come.
Agent Orange will do anything for a photo op to try and look good in the media. January 1st only 17 days away. Impeachment coming soon.
Vus? Look at the large crowd he drew. Too bad he missed the traditional Veterans Day and Thanksgiving there. Traitor trumpf makes Benedict Arnold look like a patriot. Is that the Russian spy lady with him, crapping on American military graves? Look closely.
If Trump hadn’t dodged the Vietnam draft, he could have actually earned a place there.
When is El Presidente going to visit our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, as Bush #43 did, and as Bush #41 did in Saudi Arabia. He doesn’t have to publicize it in advance, but he should make the trip, even for a very brief visit.
He had a legitimate medical deferral for a brain spur. He has shown himself to be a true patriot by surrounding himself with ex-generals with lots of ribbons and medals. What more can we ask of him?
To #4 - Did you ever serve in the armed forces, you phony? If not, you have no right criticizing others. Millions of American men, during the years 1964-1973, received deferments (as per the law), and did not serve. Trump certainly was not the only one. The Vietnam War was a disaster, which was fought for nothing. Millions of Vietnamese lives and thousands of American lives were lost, in a no-win war, which was fought, because of the Cold War. Today, Vietnam is thriving economically. Nothing was gained by that war, as was nothing gained by the war in Iraq. Case closed!
Very shortly after his inauguration, the new President flew to Dover to watch the arrival of remains from Afghanistan. It upset him so badly he has avoided such things ever since. I am glad he finally got himself to Arlington.
