“They’ll tell you,” McCaskill told CNN, referring to her exchanges with Republican senators, “‘The guy is nuts, he doesn’t have a grasp of the issues, he’s making rash decisions, he’s not listening to people who know the subject matter.'”

But they’ll only say that “if it’s just the two of you,” she said, explaining that they fear backlash from the GOP base if they criticize the president openly. “In public if they go after him … they know they get a primary, and they know that’s tough.” CNN reports that she didn’t mention any specific senators by name.

The fact that senators generally back Trump in public defines the party, McCaskill believes. “This is Donald Trump’s Republican Party,” she told CNN. “Make no mistake about it.”

McCaskill has been highly critical of Trump since before he took office, though she used to believe that the GOP would stand up to him more. Before the 2016 election, she told CNN that she didn’t believe that the majority of her Republican colleagues in the senate would vote for him.

What else do you want her to say?

And by the way I think we all agree he is nuts. We want a nut to shake things up.

Re understanding issues, that’s just an intellectual wishy washy nonsense. You’d think that those that do “understand it” and have been steering committee’s are so much smarter? Well they seemed to mess up on Iraq. Is Hillary smarter. She is suppose to be the mr know it all. Well lets see. After the Iraq mistake how did she do in Lybia, Egypt, Syria etc…? So Hillary is one that “knows the subject matter.’”. What did she really know?

Trump has a certain gut and natural instinct.

Behind his back? Not really. They call him all names to his FACE (or twitter) More important than name calling they the REPUBLICANS are Investigating him (WHITCHHUNT) in the Senate, Congress, Dept of Justice etc. Not exactly “behind his back” Its a daily Show everywhere you turn.

What do you think he calls them behind their backs? Let’s face it, he is different. Not your conventional-like presidential figure, for sure. But a good fit for this climate. Things sure ain’t what they used to be. And they’re all nuts.

To #9 -The “Highly Informed Mr. Archy”- Your problem, Arch, is that you don’t know history. Iraq had zilch, nada, bupkis, to do with 9/11/01. The 9/11 Commission completely absolved Saddam Hussein of any complicity, pertaining to 9/11/01, and the terrorists behind that attack. Secondly, Bush’s own Father, the late George Herbert Walker Bush, as well as General Brent Scowcroft, and even General Colin Powell, were against invading Iraq. When Bush #43 , saw the chaos which developed once Saddam Hussein was deposed, he should have withdrawn all US troops immediately. Instead, he, as well as Karl Rove, Cheney, and Rumsfeld, made a very misguided decision to keep our troops there for years. They were sitting ducks against IED’s, and suicide bombers. Even the great M1-5A Abrams tank was no match for IED’s, as the terrorists ascertained that tank was vulnerable from the rear, where their rockets would disable that tank. To this date, our government has never informed the taxpayers, if modifications were ever made to the Abrams tank, to protect its crew. In summary, BUSH WAS WRONG TO HAVE INVADED IRAQ IN 2003; EVEN TRUMP SAID SO. 8,000 AMERICANS WERE KILLED FOR NOTHING!
