Acting on the police’s request, the four were sent to house arrest. The remand of the fifth suspect was extended until Tuesday.

The suspects’ attorneys welcomed their clients’ release while charging that the youth have been subjected to harsh and improper forms of interrogation and that the Shin Bet (Israel’s Security Agency), which conducted the investigation, operated through illegal means.

Attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir, whose client was held for 12 days without the right to meet an attorney, called on the Shin Bet to do some “soul searching.”

“Who will compensate him [the detained youth] for the trauma [he experienced during detention]? I expect the Shin Bet interrogators to conduct soul-searching,” he said.

The Shin Bet denied the charges of misconduct, saying that the investigation is being monitored by the State Prosecutor’s Office and is being executed only through legal means.

The Shin Bet arrested several Israeli minors suspected of involvement in the October stone-throwing attack on passing cars near the Israeli community of Rehelim that resulted in the death of Aisha Rabi, a 48-year-old Arab mother of nine.

The suspects were arrested for “severe terrorist offenses including murder,” the Shin Bet said.

Several protests were held at various locations in Israel demanding that the detainees receive fair treatment and a fair trial.

I guarantee if there were five “Arab youths”, who were accused of throwing rocks, resulting in the death of Israel Jewish mother of nine, no Israeli court would have ordered their release, so soon into the investigation. This is typical of the double standard, which exists in the Israeli justice system.

    Kangaroo government. Who expected otherwise?

So I suppose this is why Israel is building separate roads for Jews and Muslims.
