Manhattan federal prosecutors sued The Townsend House Corp. and claimed the child is entitled to a canine companion under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it accuses the Townsend House Corp. of violating the federal Fair Housing Act.
is this a coop where they own their own place or renting its not clear
Asperger’s Syndrome is a high-functioning so-called autistic condition in which people who are highly intelligent have problems in social situations. I have Asperger’s too. I would like to have a cat but my husband is allergic.
The real chilul hashem (and I use that term knowing that it is sometimes overused on VIN) is that so many shuls, mikvahs and bes medrashim are not ADA compliant. I have seen many elderly yiddin stuggle to navigate older buildings in WB and BP used as shteiblach where there are no ramps or other ways for older or physically challenged to get around. While they are generally exempt from ADA, the yiddeshe community should demand that they comply without regard to the costs.
