A photo posted on Bush’s Instagram and Facebook pages shows him delivering pizzas to the detail. On his posting, Bush said he and wife Laura “are grateful to our Secret Service personnel and the thousands of federal employees who are working hard for our country without a paycheck.” He also said “it’s time for leaders on both sides to put politics aside, come together, and end this shutdown.”
Bush spokesman Freddy Ford says the photo was taken Friday in Florida, but he didn’t specify the location.
Wow, 3 whole pies! Don’t blow George H.W.’s yerusha in one shot, now…
Hiymishclown,
Look closely the guy behind him holding 3 so for some math, that’s 6 pies.
The Secret Service detail of this lying dog (vis-a-vis mass weapons of destruction in Iraq), was originally supposed to have been removed today, ten years after he left office, as per the law, which Congress passed; that law changed lifetime Secret Service protection for ex-Presidents from life to ten years, starting with George W. Bush. However, that coward Bush lobbied to have the law changed back to lifetime protection, which it did. He has enough money to pay for his own protection. In fact, Richard Nixon gave up his Secret Service detail, and paid for private security guards out of his own pocket. Clearly, this is a waste of taxpayer money.
