Seven Hills, OH – Former Nazi guard John Demjanjuk is scheduled to be deported from the United States on a late Monday flight to face trial in Germany.

The Munich-bound air ambulance flight was scheduled to leave Cleveland’s Burke Lakefront Airport around 7:20 pm, said two sources who declined to be named.
Two medical jets could be seen waiting with their doors open on the runway of the airport on this afternoon.
Demjanjuk’s family declined to comment on when he would be leaving and if they would be driving the 89-year-old former autoworker from his home in Seven Hills, Ohio or if he would be picked up by immigration officials.
“I really can’t tell you. Our family has decided not to say,” son John Demjanjuk Jr. told AFP after he pulled his car into the garage.
A German official said Demjanjuk was expected in Germany on Tuesday.
“We assume, from what we know at the moment, that he will probably arrive in Germany tomorrow,” justice ministry spokesman Ulrich Staubigl said.
Two priests were seen visiting Demjanjuk’s home on Monday morning and several members of his family had also arrived.
An ambulance and Federal Agents arrived at the Seven Hills home of John Demjanjuk just before 3PM.
The 89-year-old was loaded into the ambulance in the family garage away from the glow of the international, national and local media’s spotlight.
Demjanjuk is apparently headed to the Federal Building in downtown Cleveland where he will turn himself into authorities.
He appeared to be crying as he was carried from his house.
In Germany, he faces charges of helping murder 29,000 Jews at the Sobibor and Majdanek death camps during the Second World War.
His expected deportation to Germany would mark the end of months of legal wrangling.

A chartered jet carrying Mr Demjanjuk, 89, took off from Cleveland’s Burke Lakefront Airport at 7:13pm for an overnight flight to Munich.
An airport official said Mr Demjanjuk said nothing as he was put on the plane seated in a medical transport chair.

Interesting timing. The only sad fact is that there are not to many people left in this world who could truly appreciate this.
