Cuomo, a Democrat, says “these allegations are a violation of human decency and dignity” and “raise questions of potential violations of law.”

Inmates at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn have been living without power for the past week.

The Bureau of Prisons says work to fix the situation is expected to be completed by Monday. The agency insisted that inmates had hot water for showers and sinks, and were getting medications as needed.

Fixing NYCHA he wouldn’t get off his partisan derriere. Resign, give us all a break and encourage the rest of the hoodlums in Albany to join you.

The first priority for the Governer and the Mayor is to attend to non federal issues. Those include NYCHA and the MTA. How dare these stooges grandstand on this issue while they messed up their job.
Yes, I feel bad for any innocent people waiting for trail and feeling cold. Remember, electric and heating failures also happen to working people with no Mayor or Governer to help.

City should be charged. They have no mercy on these people, heads should roll. If you are a private landlord they would have your head. Imaging being in 30 to 40 degrees for a couple of days. Shame on you NYS

Well, if he could do things NYCHA would not be the mess it is. Never were generators or blankets sent there. He just wants to show up the FEDS as it makes good headlines for his future endeavors.
The good news is that there are term limits that protect us from any more Mayor DiBlasio. The people of Crown Heights should be hopeful that the next Mayor will stop the Pogrom like activity starting there.
Maybe, with DiBlasio sticking it to the FEDS so much, maybe it is time for a Federal Monitor in Crown Heights. The silence of our elected officials is deafening.
