Kelly Radford, 31, of Roxboro Road, Salina, pleaded guilty before County Judge Joseph Fahey to a single felony count of first-degree falsifying business records. She admitted that from Sept. 5 through Jan. 6 while employed as an LPN at the Jewish Home, she falsely signed the narcotics sheet to indicate pain medication had been given to people when it actually was stolen and ingested by herself.

Assistant Attorney General Paul Berry told Fahey Radford’s conduct did not jeopardize any patients as she only stole medication once a patient had declined the medication.

Fahey agreed to transfer the case to Syracuse Community Treatment Court where Radford will be allowed to have the felony reduced to a misdemeanor if she successfully completes a substance abuse treatment program. If she fails in drug treatment court, City Judge Jeffrey Merrill can sentence Radford to serve a maximum penalty of 1 1/3 to four years in state prison, Fahey noted.
