Prosecutors say the men conspired to provide material support to al-Qaeda, with the aim of blowing up the tower and several federal government offices, including the FBI building, and a courthouse complex.
In testimony it was also showen how the men took photographs and video of possible targets in Miami, including a synagogue.
A sixth man was acquitted of all charges. It was the third trial for the men, who were arrested in 2006.
Previous juries were unable to agree on whether their plot was genuine.
In the earlier trials, a seventh man was also acquitted of all of the charges he faced.
does anyone know what shul it was in Miami?
let see…what kind of names are those…..hmmm….MUSLIM!!!!!
augustin, baptiste are common french names. Most of them are from Haiti , a former french colony. I am haitian and a have a french last name.
The local Florida front page news was that this trial cost tens of millions of dollars and implied that it was a waste of time. I say that if these crazy muslim converts had actually murdered Jews in Miami Beach this would have changed the face of Miami Beach and caused massive turmoil in our community. Why haven’t there been many comments on this story? It is disgraceful.
