The video was released by Palestinian media and carried by Channel 12.

On Sunday night Israel’s Shin Bet security agency said the attack was nationalistically motivated and that Irfaiya had confessed and reconstructed the murder in the woods at Ein Yael on the outskirts of Jerusalem.

The Shin Bet said that he “left his home in Hebron with a knife and made his way to the village of Beit Jala,” just south of Jerusalem and from there, he “walked to the forest, where he saw Ori, attacked and murdered her.”

Ansbacher was volunteering at a youth center in Jerusalem on Thursday when she disappeared after walking in the woods. Her body was found later that day. Most details of the case remain under police gag order.

Erfaiyeh had cuts on his face and appeared to smirk during Monday’s hearing. Israeli media say the court ordered Erfaiyeh, 29, to be remanded for an additional 10 days.

Ansbacher’s death has drawn widespread media coverage in Israel.
