Queens, NY - Police: 12 Year Old Is Suspect Behind Anti-Semitic Graffiti In Queens Playground

Queens, NY - The alleged culprit behind anti-Semitic graffiti found in Queens last week is in custody: A 12-year-old male.

Swastikas and anti-Semitic sentiments were scrawled in chalk at playground in the Rego Park neighborhood of Queens.

“On Fri, 2-22-19, anti-Semitic graffiti was found throughout a Queens playground, NYPD chief Dermot Shea tweeted Wednesday night. “The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force now have the suspect—a 12 year old male—in custody. Great job @NYPDHateCrimes No matter the face of hate, the NYPD, partnered with the community, has ZERO tolerance.”

As reported previously on VIN News, Dozens of swastikas and anti-Semitic messages, including “Heil Hitler” and “No Jews Allowed” were discovered last week Friday, drawn in chalk on the playground of a public school in Rego Park, in Queens, New York.


Local councilwoman Karen Koslowitz tweeted: “I am horrified, disgusted, and nauseated, to say the least, of what I have witnessed today.
