Conway told Fox News she had just spoken to Trump about the issue. “The president agrees with the Warmbier family and holds North Korea responsible for Otto Warmbier’s death,” Conway said.

Trump drew criticism during this week’s Trump-Kim summit in Vietnam after he praised Kim and said he accepted his claims not to have been aware of how Warmbier was treated.

“He tells me that he didn’t know about it, and I will take him at his word,” Trump told a news conference. He also praised Kim’s leadership.

Conway said Trump still holds North Korea responsible but stopped short of laying blame on the leader of the reclusive communist nation.

“What he said was that Chairman Kim says, what he believes Chairman Kim to have said, was that he was not aware of what had happened to Otto Warmbier when it happened,” she told Fox.

Warmbier’s family spoke out on Friday and said they believed Kim had clear responsibility.

Warmbier, 22, died on June 19, 2017, in his home in Ohio shortly after he was flown home in a coma after being held by North Korea for 17 months.

Next, Trump will be saying that he doesn’t hold the North Koreans responsible for the attack on the USS Pueblo, which incidentally they are still holding. Why didn’t he demand the release of our ship, after 51 years?

    Dear Trump supporters,

Before rushing to defend the abhorrent comments of the man who says that he “fell in love” with Kim consider the three despots that Trump has taken at their word.

Putin – takes him at his word that he did not intefere in US elections despite all evidence to the contrary.

MBS – takes him at his word that he was not aware of the murder of Khashoggi despite Republican Senators who say that the intelligence says otherwise.

Kim – Takes him at his word that he was not responsible for Warmbier’s death.

Stop for an honest moment and think what your reaction would have been if Obama had expressed such sentiment.

If Kim Jong Un would have told his personnel to protect Otto Warmbier, and treat him humanely (for his crime of allegedly stealing a banner), he never would have been beaten and tortured. Hence, that dictator cannot escape responsibility for the untimely and cruel death of Warmbier. Trump should never have absolved Kim Jong Un, from any responsibility. To #2 - The Otto Warmbier that Trump had released was a living vegetable, blind, death, making horrible sounds, with his teeth missing. It was a shanda!!

Incidentally, a few years ago, Bill Clinton went to North Korea and personally secured the release of an American journalist, and a South Korean resident of the USA. They were both treated humanely. Obama could have sent someone to North Korea to have secured Otto’s release, while he was still in good health. However, bupkis was done.

This should serve a reminder. Anyone visiting north Korea is forced to bow down to their Gods’ statues. Meaning the statues of the previous 2 dictators who they think of as gods. This is a grave sin of the Torah for which one is supposed to choose death over accepting such chillul HaShem. There is nothing for a Jew in that country. Expect nothing but a swift divine retribution by stupidly visiting that forsaken place. And the divine retribution will come as you yourself are placing your body and soul in harms way. Putting your life in the hands of a sadistic and unstable person. This is no different than going to visit an Isis controlled area our going to Colombia on a drug industry tour. But alas, there are no lack of people not thinking in our midst.
