Trump’s response plan to the ever-expanding congressional probes into his campaign, White House and personal affairs is coming into focus as newly empowered Democrats intensify their efforts. Deploying a mix of legal legwork and political posturing, the administration is trying to minimize its exposure while claiming the president is the victim of overzealous partisan investigations.
Trump said Democrats have fired the starting gun on the 2020 presidential campaign in an effort he’s dubbed “presidential harassment.”
“Basically, they’ve started the campaign,” Trump said Tuesday, “so the campaign begins.”
Dictated more by events than long-range strategy, the administration approach comes as the White House is increasingly focused on the twin challenges of the probes and the upcoming 2020 election. But the overarching nature of the Trump response points to his increasing frustration with Congress, and his intention to seize on the investigations as evidence that he is under siege in Washington. While Trump is far from the first president to clash with Capitol Hill oversight, his enthusiastic embrace of political victimhood is still novel — and stands to serve as a key part of his re-election argument.
Aiming to appeal to the public’s sympathies, Trump said that instead of working together on legislation on issues like health care and infrastructure, Democrats “want to play games.”
While the Republicans controlled the House there was absolutely no oversight of the Trump administration for 2 years and corruption was rampant. If Trump has done nothing wrong why is he disparaging instead of encouraging any and all investigations? An innocent man should have nothing to fear as no wrongdoing would be found.
But he said he always cooperates. He’s being buried by investigations, now about his getting involved in Wall St mergers, security clearances for daughter & son in law, secret talks w Putin, ignoring Saudi murder of Kashoggi, North Korean torture of American, obstruction of justice, insurance and bank fraud, abuse of power. ETC.
It’s called “fishing”, not investigating. The mueller “investigation” into russian collusion was begun without evidence to support the probability of a crime. They dragged the investigation out two years and have come up with zero collusion. So they are fishing for something else.
The phony investigations hamper the presidency’s ability to serve the country, both domestically, and internationally. Trump meets internationally with world leaders to negotiate better deals for the US, but those leaders are dealing with a president under a dozen investigations who is made out to be a criminal by the democrats, deep state, and media. So the US loses leverage on the international stage.
These fake “investigations” are simply treason.
Keep yelling FAKE NEWS and it will all disappear. And click your heels and keep repeating ‘there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home’. That helps too.

I find it odd that Donald J Trump, an upstanding innocent man surrounded himself with criminals and made numerous real estate deals involving Russian scoundrels. Perhaps he’s just unlucky.
