New York, NY – New York City officials are closing four more schools in response to the swine flu outbreak. Officials say the schools in Queens will be closed for up to a week because of an “unusually high and sustained” number of cases of students with flu-like symptoms.

That brings to 15 the number of public and private schools that have been closed in the city because of the virus. Health Commissioner Thomas R. Frieden says officials “continue to see a rising tide of flu in many parts of New York City.”
