Rockland County, NY – Some parents who had resisted having their children vaccinated reluctantly brought them in for a measles shot Wednesday as a state of emergency took effect in a county in New York City’s northern suburbs.

Rockland County enacted the emergency order Tuesday night to fight a measles outbreak that has infected more than 150 people since last fall. The order bans unvaccinated children under 18 years old from public places such as schools, stores and churches.
Loreen Costa told the Rockland Journal News she brought her son to his pediatrician for a vaccination Wednesday after getting a robocall from his school explaining the ban. School districts contacted parents of unvaccinated children and told them not to attend classes Wednesday.
Lainie Goldstein of Grandview said her son’s middle school principal called her and said the boy can’t attend school until he’s vaccinated. She said she had chosen not to vaccinate him because she did “not want to injure” him, but she brought him to the pediatrician Wednesday for the injection.
“I feel like I am being bullied right now to go get vaccinations,” she told the Journal News.
About 30 people got measles vaccinations at a free county clinic Wednesday.
“I think that something needs to be done that has to be very drastic, that people need to comply and we’ve got to stop this,” said Rockland resident Renee Kahan, who stopped by the clinic for a booster shot. “This outbreak is serious.”
The emergency order, which lasts for 30 days, was enacted because people weren’t cooperating with health officials working to stop the outbreak, said Rockland County attorney Thomas Humbach.
Humbach said police won’t be stopping people and asking for vaccination records. But if officials become aware that an unvaccinated person has been in a public place, law enforcement will get involved, he said. Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail.
Gary Siepser, CEO of the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Rockland County, said the disease’s spread was related to the anti-vaccine movement across the country.
“It has found its way through social media and confused parents and confused people about the importance of vaccination,” Siepser said. “And it just happens that there’s a group in Rockland County that has bought into that.”
The woman is right . They are being bullied , exactly what should be done to them .

According to Halacha, one is prohibited from doing anything which is detrimental to their health. Hence, this negligent attitude against having their kids vaccinated, appears to violate Halacha.

I highly recommend Dr. Richard Moskowitz’s book (family physician for 50 years, MD from NYU School of Medicine): “Vaccines – a reappraisal.” He documents everything that he says. The science is not settled when it comes to vaccines.
In regard to the recent Danish study that said MMR does not cause autism: There were two groups of children. One group got all the childhood vaccines but not MMR, and the other group got all the childhood vaccines including MMR. There was only a slight increase of autism in the latter group compared to the former group, which was considered statistically insignificant. As a result they conclude that MMR does not increase risk of autism. Well, what about all the other vaccines that children get?
Even Dr. Stanley Plotkin, the godfather of vaccines in the USA, stated under oath during a deposition that there are no studies on Dtap (nor on any other vaccines, but he was not asked about them under oath) to determine whether it does or does not cause an increase in autism.
Besides autism, there are many other autoimmune diseases that are on the rise in children. Where is this coming from? Since there are no studies done between vaccinated children and non-vaccinated children, no one can say for sure whether vaccines do or do not cause an increase in autism (and other illnesses), especially in certain vulnerable children.
Did you know that you cannot sue a vaccine manufacturer if you feel your child chas v’shalom was damaged or died from a vaccine? Back in the 1980s the vaccine manufacturers could not handle all the parents trying to sue them, so they told the govt they wanted to get out of the vaccine business. But the govt did not want that to happen, so they made the vaccine manufacturers not liable for their products. Do you know of any other product where you cannot sue the manufacturer? Once the vaccine manufacturers were no longer liable for possible damage, they increased – and continue to increase – the number of vaccines they manufacture. They do not even need to advertise their product because they get all their vaccines mandated for all children through ACIP, a government agency that decides vaccine policy and is filled with members who are tied to the very companies that make the vaccines.
Did you know that when a new vaccine is tested “for safety”, it is tested against another vaccine already on the market, or against an ingredient in the vaccine (e.g., aluminum adjuvant for the Gardasil vaccine). Do you know of any other medicine that is not tested against a true placebo?
